Placing books in the hands of children is one of the most powerful ways to start their journey toward literacy excellence, and the Rotary Club of Carrollton is playing a part in this success. Two grants awarded to the club by the Rotary Foundation, plus a club investment in the projects, produced $12,000 to purchase books for every third grader in Carroll County and another $4,000 that provides 100 sponsorships for younger children in a renowned early childhood literacy program.
