In case you missed it, Amazon recently shut down a privacy feature across compatible Echo smart speakers. Previously, owners of specific Echo devices in the US could use Alexa-enabled voice commands without sending any audio off-device. That has since changed, as Amazon pushes further into generative AI features. In an email to affected customers, Amazon explained that the “Do Not Send Voice Recordings” setting would stop working on 28 March 2025.

Skullcandy has come out with a new set of in-ear headphones in Australia, the Method 360 ANC, using Bose technology to block out unwanted noise and pump tunes into your ears. At $189, the Skullcandy Method 360 ANC is the brand’s priciest set of earbuds to date. They’re said to level up comfort and audio quality to compete with pricier noise-cancelling headphones. There is plenty of competition already, with premium heavy-hitters hovering around the $300-400 mark.

Samsung has revealed its cheaper range of Galaxy Tab S10 FE tablets, which is set to land in Australia by the middle of the month. Intended to be Samsung’s more affordable mid-range tablets below the premium Galaxy Tab S10 models, the FE series makes a few changes to squeeze into a lower price bracket. There are two sizes available: the 10.9-inch Galaxy Tab S10 FE that starts at $849, and the 13.1-inch ‘Plus’ model that has a $1,099 base configuration.

Bringing Wi-Fi 7 technology to a mid-range price point, the Netgear Orbi 870 mesh system has arrived in Australia. It presents a much more affordable option than the high-end Orbi 970 that launched last year, which was priced at $1,599 for a single unit or $4,299 for a three-pack. Conversely, the Netgear Orbi 870 costs $849 for one satellite, and $1,999 for three. While the Orbi 870 still uses the latest Wi-Fi 7 technology, the specs are different from its pricier sibling.
