Romania has signed a deal with the German company Armored Car Systems (ACS) to acquire Enok AB light armored patrol vehicles. The Enok ABs will be incorporated into the Romanian Armed Forces’ operations relying on highly mobile anti-tank defence capabilities. The vehicles will also be used in missions that require quick deployment of armored cars. ACS Sales Engineering Head Stefan Koppold explained the cars’ effectiveness on the battlefield in an official statement.

The US Marine Corps has received its final MQ-9A Reaper unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) from General Atomics Aeronautical Systems at the Grey Butte Field Airport in California. Its delivery marks the conclusion of the corps’ three-year acquisition campaign, one of defense’s efforts to upgrade its capabilities as part of the Force Design 2030 restructuring plan. The $136-million MQ-9A contract was originally drafted to boost the corps’s operational capability in terms of range and endurance.

The UK is investing 350 million pounds ($474 million) this year to increase the supply of drones to Ukraine. The funding will see the country deliver an estimated 100,000 drones this financial year, ten times more than the 10,000 units handed over in 2024. Babcock Australasia has finished the maintenance for the Australian Navy’s Arafura-class offshore patrol vessel (OPV). The company conducted a four-week Intermediate Maintenance Availability (IMAV) for the NUSHIP Arafura (OPV 203), setting up the maintenance baseline for the ship. About 4,000 hours of precision servicing and ancillary services were provided onboard, with the OPVs’ rigid hull inflatable boats and rapid intercept craft also serviced during the process.
