Editor’s Note: The age of the child has been corrected based on new information from police. (WJW) — A 3-year-old girl missing from Fort Wayne, Indiana, has been safely located by Shaker Heights police, the FOX 8 I-Team has learned. Police responded to an Aldi on Kinsman Road on Thursday morning. A witness told FOX 8 News crews at the scene that police converged on a car in the parking lot and recovered the girl.

EMPIRE, Ohio (WJW) — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has issued an Amber Alert for a 7-year-old girl who was allegedly abducted in Empire on Monday, Nov. 11. Oaklynn Alexander, 7, is described as a white girl standing 4 feet tall and weighing 55 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, according to the Ohio Amber Alert website.

PERRY, Ohio (WJW) — Crews on Saturday evening suspended the search for a man who went missing after a boat capsized on Lake Erie that morning. Three people were pulled from the water, one of whom was later pronounced dead. “Suspending a search and rescue case is one of the most difficult decisions for us to make,” Capt. Mark Kuperman, commander of Coast Guard Sector Eastern Great Lakes, is quoted in the release.

WESTLAKE, Ohio (WJW) — A woman walking her dog on Tuesday told police she found an unconscious woman lying in the grass with a newly born infant still attached to her by the umbilical cord. The baby was found crying and face down in the grass outside WestSpring Inn along Sperry Drive, according to a police report. Police officers and firefighters responded just before 6 p.m.The good Samaritan revived the woman, after several attempts, according to the report.
