    CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) – State lawmakers are making a strong push to eliminate the federal requirement for E-Checks for cars four years old or older in seven northeast Ohio counties. Steve Demetriou (R-Bainbridge Township) and Bill Roemer (R-Richfield) recently re-introduced House Bill 115. It calls for drivers to be able to fill out a personal attestation form to confirm their vehicle is in good condition, rather than having to go to an E-check station.

    CLEVELAND (WJW) – Public libraries and their supporters are concerned about the proposed budget that came out of the Ohio House of Representatives on Wednesday. The original budget proposed by Gov. Mike DeWine called for a small increase to the percentage of the state’s general revenue fund that goes to the state’s public library fund. The budget the House approved changes the public library fund to a set amount as a line item, rather than a percentage.

    CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) – Just over a week after helping save a mother and her children from a burning home in his neighborhood, 16-year-old Tyler Sowden was recognized at Sunday’s Cavs game at Rocket Arena. Back on March 28, Sowden told Fox 8 he was just getting home from work when he heard screaming coming from one of his neighbors’ homes. He saw a mother and her children stuck on a roof at a house on Sacramento Avenue. He immediately ran and grabbed a ladder.
