We have had our typical summer stretch of many days of complete sunshine and temperatures well above normal. That patter has changed slightly as we are back to slightly-below-average, but still seasonably warm temperatures, over the next week. Highs in the low- to mid-80s will be common, and we will keep our chances for some showers/t-storms every few days (along with more cloud cover).

After getting a good amount of moisture over the weekend, we are back to a dry, sunny, and hot stretch as we finish out the month of July and start August. The jetstreams remain to the south and the north, with t-storms and severe weather in those directions, as we only have minimal chances of rain through this next week. Temperatures will remain above average every day this week; as we should be near 90 this time of year, with the average high falling into the high 80s as we start August.

After an active early summer season which gave us a lot of rain chances and a good amount of severe weather days, we are calming down nicely. Expect more sunshine with increasing temperatures through this week. For Tuesday we will have mostly sunny skies and highs near 90, which is normal for this time of year. We warm up nicely for Wednesday with sunny skies; highs will be in the mid-90s. Thursday also brings sunny skies and highs rise into the upper 90s.

We are entering a more active weather pattern, as we get back to almost a daily chance of showers/t-storms, mainly in the evening hours. Otherwise we will have partly cloudy skies for most days this week, and temperatures will be on the way down. We should be slightly below average for most days, as our average high is near 90; highs will range from the upper 70s to the upper 80s through early next week.

Our dry, very hot, and sunny pattern looks to last about a week and a half; as we will see more of the same weather-wise through the start of the next workweek. There will be a lot more sunshine on the way, and the moisture chances never get above 10% through Sunday evening. The temperatures will also continue their upward swing, as we rise through the 90s to highs above 100 for the weekend. Because of this, we are issuing Weather Alert Days Saturday and Sunday for Dangerous Heat.
