TWIN FALLS – College of Southern Idaho softball head coach Nick Baumert knows emotions run high whenever his Golden Eagles and No. 16 Salt Lake Community College meet on the diamond. No surprise, considering the two teams have spent years battling for Region 18 titles and NJCAA World Series appearances. After splitting the doubleheader on Friday, Baumert thought his team did a better job controlling those emotions in Saturday's doubleheader.

TWIN FALLS - College of Southern Idaho women's basketball coach Randy Rogers remembers meeting sophomore Kennedy Gillette in his office at the end of the 2023-24 season. Gillette had an NCAA Division I offer and was weighing whether to take it or return for another year with the Golden Eagles. If she stayed at CSI, she'd have a more prominent role and continue to grow her game. If she took the Division I offer, she'd be fulfilling a dream but there was no guarantee what her role would be.

Erling will play for Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas. Rorris will play for Arizona Christian University in Glendale, Arizona.

College of Idaho pitchers Dawson, Jackson and Jakob Cummins never thought they'd be in this position. The reason? Simple math. The three brothers all graduated from Kimberly High School. Dawson in 2020, Jackson in 2022 and Jakob in 2024. College athletes only get four years of eligibility, which means Dawson Cummins should've finished his college career the same year Jakob Cummins graduated from Kimberly.
