Recently watched The Deer Hunter again as I’m sure Michael Cimino would’ve intended—on my phone, in bed, the screen about three inches from my eyes. Even Scorcese would have to admit one cannot appreciate every bead of sweat on John Cazale’s forehead sitting at “the cinema.”
