Though I’m rarely feeling ‘blue’, I love the color. There’s something so inherently soothing about it. I don’t know if it’s because it reminds me of watching gentle ocean waves or staring up at a clear summer sky, but wearing blue brings an immediate and intense sense of calm that’s hard to replicate. It will never be lost on me that something as simple as choosing a color to wear can alter our mood and change how we feel. Spoiler alert: I’ll be wearing blue for the next few days.

While I wasn’t exactly chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin’, all cool today, this sporty California Incline sweat set had me feelin’ like it! Y’all already know I’m not one to leave the house in my comfies… but when the comfies look (and feel!) as good as good as this, I make an exception. I can’t stress to y’all enough how luxe this hoodie feels – it’s 100% heavyweight cotton terry and deliciously oversized. Here’s the thing: you show me any piece of clothing in green and I’m basically sold.

Growing up, one of my favorite movies was Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory. I don’t think I need to explain how a ragtag band of kids getting to go hog-wild in rooms made of candy was extremely appealing to me.

What’re y’all up to this weekend? I’m headed to Turks & Caicos today for my best friend’s 40th birthday. I’ll be honest, I’m not ready for my inner circle to enter this era. These are the same people who’ve chipped teeth doing keg stands (twice!); the same ones I’ve ugly-cried with at 4am in grimy bathroom stalls b/c some boy I liked (whose name I didn’t know) left the bar without saying goodbye. Like, if they’re 40, I must be 28, right? …RIGHT?

Unpopular opinion: I really don’t like snow. But.. I’ll admit there’s something the tiniest bit magical about snow days in NYC, especially now that they’re increasingly rare. I’m not a total curmudgeon! Yesterday morning, the City took a collective pause to savor a few hours of pristine snowfall… because, as any New Yorker knows, it inevitably melts into depressing piles of gray slush by late afternoon.
