— Today, NASCAR announced The Clash will come to historic Bowman Gray Stadium for the first-time as the opening exhibition event for the 2025 season on Feb. 2. The announcement was made by Ben Kennedy as part of pre-race for tonight’s NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series event at the racetrack. This will mark the first NASCAR Cup Series event at the racetrack in 54 years. The Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium will be broadcast live on FOX.

NC State defensive end Travali Price spoke to the media following practice. Price is looking to move up the depth chart this season and says even though guys like Payton Wilson are gone, there's no fall off on the defense. Wide receiver Wesley Grimes is getting adjusted to NC State's offense after transferring from Wake Forest. Grimes spoke about the chemistry he has built with Grayson McCall and going up against Pack's defense. Yeah, it feels great. Um No, we got weapons all around each, each side. We got a depth that like I've never seen before. We got guys that can do everything. So um it's good. We don't have to rely on just one person to make a play. We got multiple guys that can make plays.

NC State offensive coordinator Robert Anae gave a preseason camp update on Tuesday. He praised the buy in from the entire group, spoke about the new attitude in the running back room and how he plans to spread the ball around with all the weapons they added in the offseason I think we're about uh six practices in somewhere in there and uh brief, uh where are we offensively? Um We're in a really good spot. Uh Injuries have been minor things. So that part, uh really good.

Before women's basketball head coach Kara Lawson got to Duke, starred in the WNBA with the Sacramento Monarchs or played for Pat Summitt and the Tennessee Lady Vols, she had a dream. "My first athletic goal I can remember setting was being an Olympian," Lawson told WRAL in July. In Beijing in 2008, that dream came true. Lawson was part of a Team USA that included Tamika Catchings, Lisa Leslie, Candace Parker and Diana Taurasi, walking away with a gold medal.
