CAPE CORAL, Fla. — The family of the father and son killed in a Cape Coral crash have identified their loved ones as Christopher Patrick and Carson Patrick. On Monday, Cape Coral Police say two cars crashed on Veterans Memorial Parkway just past Surfside Boulevard. The vehicle with Christopher and Carson inside crashed into the water. Police say they were rushed to the hospital and both died. Carson was 12-years-old and the Lee County School District said he went to Gulf Middle School.

SAN CARLOS PARK, Fla. — Documents obtained by Fox 4 say the San Carlos Park house fire that killed South Trail firefighter Michael McCarty was intentionally set. In the documents, it says a firefighter found McCarty's body sitting in a chair in the house. First responders received the call at 11:21 a.m on May 21 for a structure fire on Caloosa Trace Circle. Fire investigators say his body was found in the garage, where the fire started.

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Cold case detectives with the Fort Myers Police Department hope you can help them identify a murder victim based on a new facial rendering. Police say the man's remains were found on March 23, 2007, east of Ortiz Avenue. It was a dirt road at the time because the city was extending Hanson Street. Through the investigation, detectives determined the man was killed between 1994 and 1996.

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — Several fire crews are battling a brush fire in the Picayune Strand State Forest. As of 6 p.m., the Florida Forest Service says it has burned 85 acres and is 10% contained. The fire is on Newman Drive and Stable Way in East Naples. Greater Naples Fire says no structures are in danger. The Forest Service says they have five tractors, two aircraft and other local agencies helping.

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) Bear Management staff responded to a bear sighting under a boardwalk at Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve. Park staff closed the boardwalk for the safety of both the bear and visitors, though the park remained open, including the visitor centers and parking lot. FWC says they successfully hazed the bear away from the boardwalk toward suitable habitat farther away from visitors.
