CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Due to an increased fire risk, the North Carolina Forest Service has issued a burn ban for all counties in North Carolina. The ban will go into effect at 8 a.m. Friday and will be in place until further notice. Due to increased fire risk, the N.C. Forest Service has issued a ban on all open burning and has canceled all burning permits statewide effective 8 a.m. Friday, March 21 until further notice.
