Quebec’s college of physicians is demanding an end to any communications sent to patients about proposed legislation that could change how doctors are paid. The Collège des médecins issued a statement on social media platforms late Wednesday afternoon after reports of patients receiving letters from their doctors or clinics about Bill 106. It also notes its invesgations department is aware of the situation.

U.S. President Donald Trump continues to argue looming tariffs come down to fentanyl trafficking from Canada, even as the numbers tell a different story. The powerful painkiller has played a key role in the scourge of opioids dogging North America, with fentanyl emerging as a primary cause of illicit drug deaths in both countries. Fentanyl is dangerous because it is 20 to 40 times more potent than heroin and 100 times more potent than morphine, according to Health Canada.

The grocery items listed here are all branded with the Aliments du Québec label, which means they underwent a rigorous certification process. These food and drink items are not only processed and packaged in Quebec, but they must also either be entirely made of Quebec ingredients or created with at least “85 per cent of main ingredients” from the province.
