RT @txlegequeens: shoutout to the back mic stool #txlege https://t.co/m28uN15Mox

ok NOW the S State Affairs committee has unanimously advanced HB 748, Leach's version of Trey's Law, which is now just the Senate passage away from governor's desk. #txlege

CLARIFICATION (deleted old post as it was confusing): S State Affairs voted out SB 835, by Paxton, which would ban NDAs in sexual assault and trafficking cases - but with the language in HB 748 by @leachfortexas - applying it all ages, not strictly childhood victims. #txlege

Incredible move for my talented friend and colleague, the inimitable @eklib , whom I seem to always describe as inimitable, and who raised the bar on women's health reporting in Texas and beyond. Can't wait to see what you do and it's gonna suck to compete with you. #txlege

Some personal news! After three fulfilling and... intense years on the women’s health beat, I’m transitioning to a new role: Law and Politics Reporter Still @TexasTribune, but now on the politics team, covering the AG, courts, politics and more.
