Starting May 7th, the long-anticipated REAL ID requirement officially kicks in for U.S. air travelers. Unless you have a valid passport or other approved ID, you’ll need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license to board domestic flights. After years of delays and reminders, the TSA says travelers aged 18 and older must now present either a REAL ID or an accepted alternative at airport security checkpoints or risk missing their flight.
