Bear in Monrovia continues to explore despite barking dog

Doggie to the rescue... kind of? Over the weekend a small dog confronted a bear over the weekend in a Monrovia home. Surveillance footage shows the dog barking at a large black bear before it walked in. The bear leaned down, sniffed the dog, then continued to roam through the house. The pet kept barking but the bear was completely unfazed. This specific bear had a tracker on its neck , meaning it's be caught before. Its gone into neighbors' pools, roamed kitchens, and even ate some snacks.

A Kansas farmer planned a memorable 20th anniversary surprise for his wife. Jesse Blasi created a special message for his wife, Sarah, in the wheat field of their farm. His inspiration came from another farmer who shared a message for his wife via sunflowers. He began the process back in October and used a John Deere air seeder to plant over 65 million wheat seeds. He said the hardest part was to keep this a surprise.

A shelter dog did something heroic this past Saturday at an adoption event in Virginia. Sienna was being walked by a volunteer when she went straight up to a random man. She sat down beside him, put her paw on his leg, and just sat there for a couple of minutes. His wife came a couple minutes after and realized her husband was probably about to have a seizure. The man had recent medical problems and a sign could be stillness.

Zebra transported through the sky back to owner

It's not a bird... not a plane... or Superman, but a zebra! Ed the zebra was transported via helicopter and was flown to reunite with his owner. The Rutherford County Sheriff's Office in Tennessee says he was located near the Buchanan Estates before crews from the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency and highway patrol were able rescue him. He quickly became a local celebrity as he was dramatically flown through the air.

A Texas couple decided to give familiar wedding tradition a little twist. Emily Pham-Shirdon and now-husband Lorin Hames Shirdon II were planning their wedding when their coordinator suggested they donate their wedding flowers to a nursing home after the celebration. At first she offered to take them herself but the couple insisted they took care of it. Emily called Villa Toscana in Houston to schedule the drop off for the day after their wedding for the flowers to be good and fresh.

There's panda love in the air! Qing Bao and Bao Li are living at the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. and are getting more and more curious about each other. The National Zoo posted a video to X showing the two pandas playing together and bleating which shows signs of hormonal changes. At the end of April, the pandas were only checking in every once in a while, but now they're spending all their time near the window.

A high school couple in Connecticut decided to celebrate their four-month anniversary by sharing random acts of kindness in the community. Liliana Vera and Evan Jekubovich went to Target and picked up flowers, pens, and notecards before driving to Hartford Hospital. They wrote encouraging notes and began to place then with flowers on random car windshields. The seniors wrote messages like "One step at a time" and "You'll get through this" and gave the extra flowers to the parking garage attendant.
