    The Black Mountain fire department's budget is down $58,000, but still includes two new positions. Park Rhythms will take place in Town Square this year rather than Veterans Park. The town hopes to have the golf course open by early May for the back nine holes. Eischeid's research focuses on the women's orchestra at Auschwitz-Birkenau and Maria Mandl. The event will be held at 2 p.m. April 26. Susan Eischeid has spent decades of her life researching the women’s orchestra at Auschwitz-Birkenau.
