Polls close at 8 p.m. on Nov. 5 in Detroit for the 2024 general election. Some Michigan precincts in the Upper Peninsula are in the Central time zone and so will not close until 9 p.m. Eastern time. The Associated Press (AP) will not call any Michigan races until all polls have closed at 9 p.m. ET. Check back here for Detroit and Michigan election results in federal, state and local races.
