    A cyclist has died after reports of a collision with a vehicle in the intersection of Highway 3 (Central Avenue) and Boundary Drive just after 3pm this afternoon, April 17. Grand Forks RCMP say the cyclist received life threatening injuries and was quickly assisted by bystanders performing CPR. He was then transported to the local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.

    The Grand Forks Border Bruins have been crowned the Teck Cup champions for the first time in franchise history. Logan McCabe led the Border Bruins with two goals, including the championship clinching goal in the first period on game four of the series against the Revelstoke Grizzlies, while Eric Kahl was excellent in goal stopping 40 of 42 shots. The Border Bruins led 3-2 after the first period.
