A mum has finally kicked her £150-a-day scratch card addiction - after spending nearly £100,000 on the habit. Marie Ellefsen, 45, said she was hooked when she won £20 on her first-ever scratch card - a £1 ticket, 15 years ago. She used the win to buy 20 more straight away and didn't win on any of them. The then mum-of-two started chasing the jackpot by buying the tickets daily, and within three months she was spending £10 a day on the cards.

WHEN mum Julia Lanni paid £120 for non-surgical fat dissolving injections on her stomach, she hoped it would be an affordable and non-invasive way to improve her confidence. Instead, the 59-year-old was left in absolute agony and required emergency surgery after developing an abscess the size of a fist on her tummy. Julia paid £120 for the 16 Aqualyx injections across her belly at a salon, and just a week later, she was taken to A&E. She has been left permanently scarred and £2,500 out of pocket.
