South West News Service (SWNS) is a UK-based news agency that provides editorial content, images, and videos to both national and international clients. With offices located in cities such as Bristol, Plymouth, Leeds, Solihull, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Cambridge, and London, SWNS boasts a team of over 100 reporters and photographers. Originally established as the Bristol Agency in the early 1970s, the agency is now led by partners Andy Young, Paul Walters, and Martin Winter. In 2010, SWNS introduced its website, SWNS.com (Small World News Service), which serves as a reliable source for current events and general interest stories. In 2016, SWNS expanded its reach by acquiring several regional agencies, including Masons News Service, Newsteam International, Ross Parry, National News, Centre Press, and Northscot. Additionally, SWNS operates two public relations divisions: 72Point and Inside Media, alongside a market research firm called OnePoll and a TV production company named Oblong Films.
