BOURBON, Ind. -- The town of Bourbon is still recovering from last week's tornado. The EF-1 storm damaged homes and toppled tree across parts of Marshall County. Now, tarps are protecting peoples' roofs, and work on damage is already starting to get things repaired, with most trees, branches, and other debris being picked up from neighbors' yards.

THREE RIVERS, Mich. -- At approximately 4:35 p.m. officers responded the intersection of West Michigan Avenue and South Douglas Avenue on reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. While responding to this incident, officers were advised that the suspect vehicle had fled the scene. The victim, a 47-year-old female, was airlifted to Bronson Methodist Hospital in critical condition. Upon investigating, officers identified the suspect's vehicle as a white Pontiac Vibe.

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart 911 Communications Center received a call at approximately 7:55 p.m. for a report of a stabbing in the 400 block of Wagner Ave. Upon arrival, officers located a male with stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital by medics for injury treatment, with no current update on his condition. This is an active and ongoing investigation. We will update as we confirm more.

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office reports that on Dec.17 they received a larceny call in the 56000 block of Shattuck Road, in regard to two four-wheelers, a trailer, and several other items stolen, with a total value over $20,000. On Jan. 12, Detectives and Michigan State Police responded to a location in Bronson Michigan, on information of suspects concealing the trailer and one of the four-wheelers.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of Elkhart and fire departments across Michiana said goodbye to one of their own today, Captain Adam Kuspa. The 41-year-old married father of three was found unresponsive in his home last week. Kuspa, who went by the nickname 'Pugs', served for almost two decades with The Ekhart Fire Department. Kuspa was a member of the Honor Guard, Water Rescue Team, and served on the Tactical Rescue Team. Today, a somber funeral service was held at the Holy Family Church in South Bend.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Today, 35-year-old Derick Pratcher of Elkhart, has pled guilty for the March 2023 murder of 63-year-old Robert Pulliam Jr. of South Bend. Pratcher was charged on March 7. 2023 with:Count 1: Murder; a FelonyCount 2: Unlawful carrying of a handgun; a Class A MisdemeanorCount 3: Unlawful carrying of a handgun: a Level 5 FelonyPratcher has pled guilty, but mentally ill to Murder, with Counts two and three expected to be dismissed in accordance with the plea agreement.

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police Department has declared a Silver Alert and is investigating the disappearance of 61-year-old Patrick Arthur Dowllar of Elkhart. Dowllar is 5'5 with brown hair/brown eyes and is approximately 150 pounds. He was last seen Sunday Jan.12 at around 5:30 p.m.Dowllar is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical attention.
