Vanderbilt Women’s Tennis played its first team scoring event of the season against SMU on Jan. 20, displaying strong singles play en route to a 5-2 win. What originally was supposed to be a home doubleheader was shortened due to weather concerns, as the scheduled match against Western Kentucky was postponed. Vanderbilt got off to a rough start in doubles after SMU’s Drew Morris and Arianna Stavropoulos defeated Sonya Macavei and Trinetra Vijayakumar handily, 6-2.

Vanderbilt Women’s Tennis ended its fall season on Thursday, as doubles pair Célia-Belle Mohr and Sophia Webster lost in the Round of 16 at the NCAA Doubles Championships. Four Commodores took the court at the NCAA Championships, as Mohr and Webster were joined by Bridget Stammel and Valeria Ray, both of whom competed in singles. These four qualifiers to the NCAA Championships were the most Vanderbilt has had in a single season since 2016.

Vanderbilt Women’s Tennis opened its fall season at the ITA All-American Championships this past week. In singles, No. 3 Célia-Belle Mohr and No. 34 Bridget Stammel opened play in the main draw, while sophomore Valeria Ray advanced from the pre-qualifying round to the qualifying draw. In doubles, the No. 64-ranked duo of Stammel and Ray, along with the No. 29-ranked pair of Mohr and first-year Sophia Webster, began play in the qualifying round.

Vanderbilt Men’s Tennis kicked off its 2024 fall season this past weekend by sending athletes to two invitational tournaments. Eight Commodores traveled to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to compete in the SEC Challenge, while four others traveled to Middle Tennessee State University to participate in the Blue Raider Invite.

The Vanderbilt Track and Field team traveled to Baton Rouge, La. to compete in the LSU Alumni Gold meet this past Saturday, April 20. The Commodores turned in a solid performance complete with numerous top-10 placements, multiple season bests and personal records and improvements to individual NCAA ranked performances.
