A Somers man is behind bars after a July 17 knife attack, state police said. Troopers responded to a home around 12:30 a.m. after reports of a fight. They found the victim injured outside the home and the suspect, identified as Andres Mendoza Gomez, 47, locked inside. Both the victim and Mendoza Gomez were transported to Westchester Medical Center for treatment and evaluation.

Westchester man arrested for burglarizing King's Ferry Yacht Club•Jul 29, 2024, 12:33 PM•Updated 4 min agoA Buchanan man is facing charges after allegedly burglarizing the King's Ferry Yacht Club early last week. State police responded to the club around 5 a.m. on July 18 for a reported burglary. Upon arrival, they found John DeSclafani, 53, inside the club with several pry bars. DeSclafani was arrested and charged with burglary, criminal mischief, and possession of burglar tools.
