Mark Carney’s Liberal party has won the federal election. The country’s major broadcasters declared a victory for the Liberals shortly after 10 p.m. on Monday night, a move that means the party will enjoy a fourth consecutive mandate. Whether or not the party will win enough seats to form a majority government was not yet clear. This story will be updated as more results come in.
