Sussex County Community College’s Public Safety Training Academy (PSTA) recently celebrated its annual Firefighters Graduation to a packed house of guests, honoring 92 graduates of its firefighter, Rescue Task Force, and Fire Officer Development programs. These graduates will be vital in supporting volunteer fire companies across Sussex County.

The Performing Arts Student Showcase will be held on Friday, December 6, at 7:00 p.m. at the College’s Performing Arts Center located at One College Hill Road in Newton. This event is free and open to the community.

Sussex County Community College (SCCC) is proud to announce the addition of a new athletic program to its lineup for the upcoming 2025-2026 academic year: golf. This exciting new sport will be available for both men and women, and students will have the opportunity to join the newly formed Skylanders Golf Team. The Skylanders Golf Team will begin recruiting new players for the Fall 2025 season, marking a significant expansion of SCCC's athletic offerings.

The Sussex County Community College wrestling season is here, and the Skylanders are entering the 2024-2025 season with unprecedented momentum. Last season marked a significant breakthrough as the Skylanders won the Garden State Athletic Conference for the first time, followed by championships in the NJCAA Region 19 and Gulf Atlantic District. Head Coach Nick Barzano, the reigning Gulf Atlantic District Coach of the Year, is back for his third season.

His signature talent will be brought to the Performing Arts Center on Thursday, December 5th, at 7 p.m. Known for his captivating performances on Broadway and opera stages worldwide, Schulman will perform a selection of beloved Broadway classics along with festive holiday favorites.
