Tallebudgera Creek Beach was closed on Saturday after heavy rains pelted the coastline, flushing dirt and debris through waterways across the region. A man in his 30s is in a critical condition after suffering multiple stab wounds on a Gold Coast street. The Queensland Ambulance Service tasked its high Acuity Response Unit and critical care paramedics to Main Beach Pde where they found the victim at 10.17pm. Police said the man, currently in Gold Coast University Hospital, had not provided any information about the incident and was yet to file a complaint Sunday morning.

A Shailer Park man, 35, and a Pacific Pines woman, 31, were also at the scene. Gold Coast detectives are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
