After he was diagnosed in January 2023 with an aggressive brain tumor located on the brain stem, he spent nine months at St. Jude in Memphis, TN, undergoing treatments that included significant setbacks such as severe pressure on the brain due to the location of the rapidly growing tumor and bacterial meningitis.
