In 2014, Julie started Camp Virtues, a week-long day camp where kids explore character strengths such as unity, truthfulness, and compassion through stories, games, prayers, and the arts. Starting Camp Virtues was a spur-of-the-moment decision after one of Julie’s friends, Timothy Li, passed away from cancer.
