In 2016, as a second-year PhD student, I attended a lecture by Katie Byrnes, who spoke of the importance of Mindful Educator Self-Care, and described tools for educators to practice, like focused attention, that will help them to be aware of one’s body and mental state. Years later—as a professor training teachers during the COVID-19 global pandemic—I incorporated yoga and breathing exercises into my lectures by inviting guest practitioners to lead us through guided practices.

The new trains for the Piccadilly line are undergoing extensive testing by Siemens Mobility in Europe, both on the test track and in the climate chamber. The first newly built state-of-the-art test train for Transport for London’s (TfL’s) Piccadilly line is at the Test and Validation Centre in Wegberg-Wildenrath, Germany, where it is being put through its paces on the test track during dynamic testing to demonstrate acceleration and braking functionality along with noise and vibration trials.

Katie Byrnes has been immersed in the golf world since birth. Her father played in college and her family lived near a golf course in Scottsdale, so she spent a lot of time on the greens. While playing for Desert Mountain High School, Byrnes noticed that women’s golf apparel wasn’t very fashionable or practical for everyday wear. Playing socially as an adult, she noticed that other women had similar complaints.
