In less than two weeks, voters will decide Question 1 on the Town Election ballot, which, if approved, would allow the town to temporarily raise taxes to pay for the Great Pond Sewer Project Phase 1. However, if the debt exclusion is approved, property owners will not actually see an increase on their tax bill, town officials have said. Assistant Town Manager Peter K. Johnson-Staub said the town has approved many debt exclusions in the past.

Falmouth voters packed the Hermann Room at the library Wednesday night, April 30, to hear candidates for select board and school committee introduce themselves and answer questions. All seats were filled, and an extra room was needed for the overflow crowd, who watched the forum live on a big television monitor. Some others stood in back to watch candidates answer Mindy Todd’s questions. Ms. Todd, the host and director of WCAI’s The Point, moderated the League of Women Voters-sponsored forum.
