    THUNDER BAY — As part of a multi-day enforcement initiative, officers with Thunder Bay Police were across the city watching for drivers doing more than the posted speed limits. At the end of Wednesday, Constable Tom Armstrong posted a video to the Services Facebook page about some of the drivers that members of the traffic unit caught during the enforcement. He said there were "significant results" from their efforts, while a tow truck was loading one vehicle on Onion Lake Road.

    THUNDER BAY — A stunt driver was stopped by city police allegedly going 91 km/hr in a 50 km/hr zone. On Wednesday, officers were conducting enforcement across the city, and police stopped one car for driving at excessive speeds, part of a two-day enforcement initiative. Officers stopped the vehicle on Waterloo Street around 8 a.m. During the traffic stop, the officer suspected the driver might be under the influence of alcohol.

    EAGLE LAKE — Police have arrested one person on drug charges during a recent search warrant. Treaty 3 Police Service officers executed a search warrant on May 2 at a residence in Migisi Sahgaigan, Eagle Lake First Nation. During the investigation, one woman was arrested and charged with numerous offences, including possession of a controlled substance, drug trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, breaking and entering, and unauthorized use of a computer.

    ALBERTON TOWNSHIP — A vehicle ended up in the ditch after a single-car collision in Alberton Township. On May 2, OPP in Fort Frances were called to a collision scene near Frog Creek Road at approximately 3:30 p.m. The driver wasn't located at the scene, but police were able to find the 33-year-old man a short while later. Police investigated and administered a roadside screening test that the driver subsequently failed.

    SIOUX LOOKOUT — A structure fire has damaged multiple properties in Sioux Lookout. Police, fire and Northwest EMS were called about reports of a structure fire on Sunday afternoon. Around 3 p.m., emergency services arrived at a residence on King Street between Second and Third Avenue and located a woodshed on fire. Damage extended to neighbouring residences and other outbuildings in the immediate area.
