The Ryobi 40V cordless 24” hedge trimmer can turn on unexpectedly, despite there being separate safety and trigger control buttons. According to Health Canada, the recall only affects certain model numbers. Trimmers with model numbers RY40620VNM, RY40602VNM and RY40602BTLVNM and with serial numbers within ranges LT21091D180001 to LT22365D060025 and RG23125N250001 to RG24252D101110 are affected.

The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) invoked its mandate for an investigation after a man was injured during the incident in Pikangikum First Nation.     NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO — The Treaty Three Police Service say that in an effort to be more transparent they will release their incident call numbers on a weekly basis. Their first release covers the dates of June 2 to 9, when officers responded to 470 calls for service. The top call reasons include proactive property checks (94 incidents), proactive community services calls (49), and responding to calls for police assistance (37).
