GEORGETOWN — Organizers of the Singing Christmas Tree at Georgetown's First Baptist Church are quick to say the event is a church service, not a performance. GEORGETOWN — Longtime Georgetown Wooden Boat Show participant Tommy Graham may know the secret behind the event's nearly four-decade run. "Boats that are made of wood have souls, and other boats are feeble attempts," Graham said. The 35th annual Wooden Boat Show will take place Oct. 19-20 in historic downtown Georgetown along Front Street. Show planners expect at least 25,000 visitors during the two-day event. Over 100 boats will be on display both on land and along the waterfront.
