    Coastal Carolina is headed to its fourth NCAA Super Regional, and first since the Chanticleers won the national championship in 2016. A sacrifice fly by senior outfielder Sebastian Alexander in the bottom of the eighth inning scored the only run of the championship game Sunday night, as the Chanticleers defeated East Carolina 1-0 to win the Conway Regional. The 13th-seeded Chanticleers may be headed to No. 4 Auburn for the Super Regional next weekend.

    Coastal Carolina is one win away from reaching an NCAA Super Regional for the first time since the Chanticleers won the national championship in 2016. A Colby Thorndyke grand slam broke a tie in the seventh inning and the Chants poured it on from there to defeat East Carolina 18-7 Saturday night in front of a Springs Brooks Stadium record attendance of 6,423, as there was nary an empty seat or open space.
