    Elderly residents have been left "unable to sleep" after a hooded figure was caught on camera trying the handle of their back door during the night. Police have launched a probe after the prowler was spotted on Hill Crescent in Bathgate, West Lothian, at around 3am on Wednesday, November 27. As reported by Edinburgh Live, the incident came just days after Sinead Dunsmore's grandparents installed their new Ring doorbell camera.

    A sinkhole has been discovered at a busy Edinburgh roundabout with drivers being warned of delays as work continues. After Scottish Water confirmed they were carrying out an 'urgent investigation' at Cameron Toll Roundabout, it closed over night on Wednesday and from Thursday morning, reports Edinburgh Live. This morning, an update confirmed the road had collapsed resulting in a 'large void' under the carriageway.

    Police have launched a probe after a car was found burnt-out on a busy path in Edinburgh. Connor Gartland, 28, was on his way to work on Thursday when he saw flashing lights on the old railway cycle path at Lochside Place. The 28-year-old, who shared images of the wreckage with Edinburgh Live, says he was told by a police officer at the scene that it was caused by "joyriders".
