A new Ziggi’s Coffee location is on its way to Monument, offering a welcoming, lodge-style space designed for locals to gather in the Jackson Creek neighborhood. The store is owned by Monument residents Greg and Jill Bland, the husband-and-wife franchisees behind the three other Ziggi’s locations in Colorado Springs. Set to open in June or July — weather permitting — the Monument cafe will feature a warm, mountain-inspired design with barnwood accents, stonework and a copper roof.

It’s been a long 16 months for local business owners and artists Clay and Emily Ross, but the couple refused to give up on their dream of Yobel and the Look Up Gallery. The ethical fashion boutique and art gallery closed their doors in December 2023 after damage from a fire in a neighboring business forced them out of their locations on Bijou Street in downtown Colorado Springs.

Chicken Salad Chick is opening its second Colorado Springs location on April 23, bringing more of its signature Southern-style chicken salad to the Briargate neighborhood. Located near the Promenade Shops at Briargate, the fast-casual restaurant is kicking off with a big grand opening giveaway: The first 100 guests in line will win free chicken salad for a year.
