Celebrity supermodel Elle Macpherson disclosed in an interview with The Australian Women’s Weekly earlier this week that seven years ago she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Media coverage around the world said Macpherson had rejected some “conventional” treatments for the type of breast cancer she had disclosed, known as HER2-positive oestrogen receptive intraductal carcinoma.

AbstractObjectives To quantify the proportion of melanoma diagnoses (invasive and in situ) in the USA that might be overdiagnosed. Design In this ecological study, incidence and mortality data were collected from the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results 9 registries database. DevCan software was used to calculate the cumulative lifetime risk of being diagnosed with melanoma between 1975 and 2018, with adjustments made for changes in longevity and risk factors over the study period.

I wondered why anyone would be looking to me for information and opinions about the war in Israel and Palestine, especially when there is a wealth of experts on the subject, almost all of them currently making their thoughts known in the many different mainstream media outlets that exist at this time (thank God).
