Each Monday afternoon, a group of experienced painters one-by-one shuffle into the Summerhayes Studio at the Cambridge Centre for the Arts ready to put brush to canvas and learn from one another. The casual and social group is Studio 30, the longest running arts group in Cambridge started in the 1950s by Canadian artist Dorotha Watson. They met weekly at 30 Cambridge St., hence the name, until moving to the Cambridge Centre for the Arts in 2002.
