Project confidence at all times. It’s a way of life for Linn Grant, whose first athletic passion wasn’t golf but equestrian, where it was all about making a 1,200-pound animal think she was in charge. When she reached the point where she needed to buy a horse to compete at the next level, Grant’s family wasn’t ready for that commitment, so she changed leads. Her father, John, played on the Swedish Golf Tour, and her grandfather, James, was a teaching pro.

Rory McIlroy completed the Grand Slam and answered a decade’s worth of questions, but it was a volatile trip around Augusta National on Sunday afternoon. In his post-round press conference, he was quick to admit: “I didn't make it easy today. I certainly didn't make it easy.” Two doubles, three bogeys, six birdies, a playoff. He had the lead, lost it, and reclaimed it, lost it again.

Rory McIlroy was off to an inauspicious start in the final round of ther 2025 Masters. He began Sunday with a two-shot lead over Bryson DeChambeau, shouldering the expectation and hope of completing the career Grand Slam. This is his 11th attempt. Those cheering for him couldn’t help but feel a twinge of fear that he would come out slow, falling victim to the pressure rather than applying it. And then he started with a double bogey on 1. He was tied with DeChambeau.

Well, this is a new one. Max Homa was on the 8th hole at Augusta National Thursday when he hit a marshal who was standing in the middle of the fairway. It looks as strange as it sounds. Homa’s drive went hard left off the tee. So, his second shot was a punch-out rather than an attempt to get to the green. The marshal is standing in the middle of the fairway, with a flag in his hand as a warning to players hitting up to the green. No. 8 goes straight uphill.

Atthaya Thitikul joins Tiger and Lydia Ko as the youngest players ever to reach No. 1. When I did this piece with her, her restraint stuck out. She's young, but makes mature decisions with the long-term in mind. Oh and she really knows how to win. https://t.co/YG5rrL14Wm
