Summer is here, and golfers from Tucson to Timbuktu are grinding to get their games into shape. Whether prepping for that big Scotland trip or simply trying to break 80, we’re all getting our cuts in anywhere we can, from the range to the supermarket to … the delivery room? At least that’s what TikToker Steven Rideaux (@RoundsWithRideaux) did this week while passing the time during his wife D’asha’s 12-hour labor.

While the RBC Canadian Open is primarily known as a U.S. Open tune-up to us Yanks, to the fine, hearty people of Canada, it's their national championship. They get one PGA Tour stop a year, and they make the most of it, building party holes that look like hockey rinks, dangling buzzed fans hundreds of feet in the air and even truck-sticking tour pros during the trophy ceremony. Needless to say, there’s never dull moment north of the border. But don’t take our word for it.

At the Korn Ferry Tour Championship back in October, Docherty needed a runner-up finish to climb into the top 30 and earn his PGA Tour card. Docherty lived up to his end of the bargain, firing a final-round 68 that moved him into a joint tie for second, but there was catch. Docherty could only be tied with one other player to earn the points he needed.

One of the biggest stories in professional golf over the last several weeks has been Rory McIlroy's driver — arguably the biggest weapon in his bag. When you routinely bomb it over 315 yards and lead the PGA Tour in most driving metrics, it's natural to gawk when the driver is unsheathed. The problem is that no one wants to talk about Rory's prowess off the tee, but rather how his TaylorMade's Qi10 driver was deemed to be non-conforming at the PGA Championship.
