    Nathan Simington, a Republican member of the Federal Communications Commission, proposed capping the share of revenue that TV networks can collect from local stations, saying he wants to “rein in corporate media monopolies.” Simington, who was appointed to the FCC by President Donald Trump during his first term, is seeking to limit major networks from taking more than 30% of the funds that local stations get from from cable and satellite-TV distributors, according to a statement Thursday.
