    Delta breezes have returned and the difference in temperatures between yesterday and today will be significant. Yesterday's official high temperature in Sacramento was 102°, but the forecast high for Sunday is 88°... a 14° difference. The Foothills and Sierra are expected to be about 10° cooler than Saturday. While the Delta breezes are certainly refreshing, gusts 25-30 mph will create a heightened fire danger.

    A heat advisory remains in effect through Sunday as triple-digit temperatures remain across Northern California. Because it's been several months since the region experienced such hot temperatures, some people may be more susceptible to heat-related illnesses and should plan ahead by staying hydrated and limiting their time outdoors. The KCRA 3 weather team issued an Impact Day for Saturday over the heat.

    Delta breezes continue to usher in comfortable weather for the holiday weekend, but also increase the threat of grass fires as southwest winds gust up to 30 mph. Clouds increase this afternoon and overnight as trough of low pressure sweeps through the area, but clouds will decrease Monday morning. Temperatures start to climb as high pressure builds during the work week.
