The Holy See Press Office has confirmed that the Pope is recovering as expected by his doctors. Vatican officials reported that his condition remains stable, with slight improvements in his respiratory function, mobility, and voice. He continues with treatment and physical therapy, requiring less supplemental oxygen and using high-flow oxygenation at night as needed. The update follows his first public appearance since leaving the hospital on 23rd March.

The Welsh Government has formally responded to the concerns raised by the Archbishop of Wales, Most Rev Andrew John, regarding the quality of rivers in Wales. In November, the Archbishop convened the national summit Restoring Welsh Rivers through the Church in Wales, which brought together more than 90 participants, including scientists, farmers, environmentalists, and water industry representatives.
