AbstractThe investigation deals with certain aspects of wave propagation in a rod containing a penny-shaped cavity, particularly fracture related to the presence of the cavity. When a rod containing a cavity is subjected to a compressive stress pulse, part of the pulse is transmitted past the cavity and part is reflected. When the end of the rod is free, the cavity is subjected to a reflected tensile pulse which, if strong enough, can cause fracture.

FREEHOLD, NJ – A Monmouth County Correctional Officer from Piscataway pled guilty on Monday to giving a cell phone to her inmate boyfriend. Latonya C. Johnson, 52, “brought the cell phone into the jail sometime between May and October 2022, when she and the inmate were engaged in a romantic relationship, in order to be able to communicate with him more frequently,” said Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago.

No further details were released, including on which campus he was found, but Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Rutgers Police Chief Kenneth Cop said on Tuesday the death does not appear to be suspicious. There is no threat to the public, they said.
