TAPinto.net is a network comprising over 70 franchised local and specialized online newspapers across New Jersey, New York, and Florida, attracting more than 7 million readers in the past year. Each website is managed by a local owner or publisher, dedicated to delivering unbiased, original local news on a daily basis. The current franchise owners range from business leaders and public relations experts to journalists, traditional newspapers, nonprofits, and educational institutions. Founded in October 2008 by Michael and Lauryn Shapiro, TAPinto was created to offer residents of their community an independent, all-digital source for local news. Today, TAPinto serves more than 100 communities in New Jersey, New York, and Florida, and has received accreditation from the New Jersey Press Association. TAPinto is committed to giving back to the community. In the last year, the organization has contributed over $250,000 in marketing and advertising support to various charitable groups, including Susan G. Komen North Jersey, Relay for Life, March of Dimes, Family Promise, and the Housing and Community Development Network of NJ, among others. Additionally, TAPinto's staff and franchisees actively participate in numerous local organizations, such as Rotary and the Chamber of Commerce. TAPinto provides a range of marketing services, including content marketing, native advertising, social media promotion, exclusive sponsorships, branded content, email marketing, and conventional online advertising.

    CLARK, NJ – Two members of the Columbia High School baseball team represented the Cougars in the New Jersey Underclassmen 2025 All-Star Game last week at Arthur L. Johnson High School. Catcher Isaac Buchalter and third baseman Benji Josefsberg of Columbia both played in the game, which pitted a team from Middlesex and Hudson counties against a team from Essex and Union counties. Buchalter had a single in two at-bats and also threw out a runner attempting to steal.
