Those living in rural and regional South Australia and NSW are the most politically engaged Australians, a Sky News analysis has revealed. Electorates with large percentage of voters tend to vote for the Coalition, while seats with fewer participating voters tend to vote for Labor or the Greens. Matching voter turnout and enrolment data from the 2022 election against voting age data from the 2021 census gives an actual participation rate at the last election.
