The Kansas City Chiefs won 15 of their first 16 games and yet it took until recently for them to be considered the favorite out of the AFC side of the playoffs. Part of that has to do with their only real loss being against the Bills, and the style points both Buffalo and Baltimore have racked up in some of their wins. The Chiefs are, obviously, chasing immortality as the first three-peat in NFL history.

Regardless of how many rings Patrick Mahomes and company secure in Kansas City, the ending to the Chiefs pursuit of back-to-back Super Bowls in 2021 is something fans will lament forever. Left tackle Eric Fisher tore his Achilles in the AFC Championship Game. This after the Chiefs lost right tackle Mitchell Schwartz earlier in the year.

The NFL Combine is a big mile marker in the journey to the Draft. It’s come and gone, and provided is with a better, more educated perspective on the overall athletic profile of the prospects that make up the 2023 Draft Class. One of the stars of the weekend was a kid that hails from North Kansas City — Northwestern defensive lineman Adetomiwa Adebawore. Adebawore has had a fantastic pre-draft process. He’s a rare physical specimen and proved so in Indianapolis.
