    EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- 20 migrants were rescued from a stash house in El Paso, according to a post on X by El Paso Border Patrol Sector Chief Anthony "Scott" Good. Good said the rescue was a collaborated effort by El Paso Station Border Patrol Anti-Smuggling agents and the El Paso Police Department. "Smugglers continue to overcrowd and prioritize profit," Good said in his post.

    ROSWELL, New Mexico (KVIA) -- Roswell experienced severe flooding early Sunday morning after a storm system moved through the region Saturday night. An image taken early Sunday courtesy of the city's live cameras showed several inches flooding the streets of Downtown Roswell. Much of that flooding has since cleared, although roads still appear to be slick.

    EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- One person is dead after a vehicle hit a pedestrian in Northwest El Paso, according to police. It happened at 6501 South Desert Blvd Sunday morning. Police have not said who it was that was killed. Special traffic investigators are currently looking into the cause.     Update (October 21, 2024): Special Traffic Investigators say the driver was traveling south on South Desert when she hit a man in the roadway. She "left the scene but later returned and met with police," investigators say. The man, identified only as being in his 70s, died at the scene. "A pedestrian in the roadway is a contributing factor in this crash," a police spokesperson said Monday. This is the 54th traffic fatality of the year compared with 62 this time last year.
