FARGO — After more than a year and a half of recovery, Fargo Police Officer Andrew Dotas is officially back on duty as of Monday, Feb. 10. It marks his first shift back on the streets since being critically injured in the July 14, 2023, shooting that claimed the life of fellow officer Jake Wallin and severely wounded Officer Tyler Hawes and a young woman involved in a traffic crash the officers were responding to when they were ambushed on 25th Street in south Fargo.

FARGO — A Cass County sheriff's deputy was fired after several complaints about his conduct on duty. Tyler Gibson was placed on paid administrative leave for an investigation after an incident in south Fargo in early May. He yelled profanity at a driver and passenger and threatened they'd get shot if they didn't get their hands up. The incident happened in response to a crash in the Southpointe neighborhood near Hope Lutheran Church.
