A total of four players finished the 2025 high school girls basketball season with over 4,000 career points, including a pair of juniors who figure to battle for the all-time lead in Minnesota next year. Maddyn Greenway of Providence Academy (Plymouth) ended the season with 4,454 career points in five varsity seasons while Tori Oehrlein of Crosby-Ironton (Crosby) is just 27 points behind at 4,427.

In addition to being MaxPreps All-Americans, Cameron Boozer of Columbus (Miami, Fla.), Tounde Yessoufou of St. Joseph (Santa Maria, Calif.), Kingston Flemings of Brennan (San Antonio, Texas) and Braylon Mullins of Greenfield-Central (Greenfield, Ind.) have something else in common — they all scored over 2,000 points during their high school basketball careers.

IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) inched closer to a national championship as two more undefeated teams in the MaxPreps Top 25 high school baseball rankings suffered their first losses of the season. Both Harlem (Ga.) and Conway (Ark.) lost for the first time in 2025, but both teams stayed in the rankings. Harlem's loss ended a 44-game win streak but it still advanced to the quarterfinals of the Class AAA state playoffs. Conway, meanwhile, lost to Cabot in a regular season game.

A total of 23 states have new leaders in the MaxPreps Cup state-by-state standings, including five states whose new leader was not in the top five coming out of the fall season. Hoover (Ala.), Punahou (Honolulu, Hawaii), Johnston (Iowa), Whitman (Bethesda, Md.) and Perry (Massillon, Ohio) were not among the top five teams in their state, but they had huge winter seasons to move up to No. 1.

Named the MaxPreps Player of the Year in Alabama after leading the Panthers to a Class 1A state championship, Austin has reached some remarkable milestones. She led Spring Garden – with a 9-12 enrollment of 168 – to a record of 203-10 in six seasons including four state championships (2020, 2023, 2024 and 2025).
